An Introduction to the city of Devontaine.

Devontaine, or "DT" as it is referred to affectionately by its townsfolk, is on a prestigious plot of countryside in the southeast of England, and only a few hours from the shore. The city is isolated by thousands of rolling acres and the immense English manors that govern over them. The town itself is small and antique, very quaint and old-fashioned, but with all the comforts of a modern society. Even though it is such a beautiful place, there are hardly any tourists around. The city keeps a high stake on remaining incognito and applying itself exclusively to the rich and famous in need of a country home and an escape from the paparrazi. A place to raise their starlett offspring in a balanced atmosphere - or to send the ones that need it.

However, it may be a fact that the bigger the secret, the harder there is to keep it. A number of drifters may enter the town at any time; criminals mostly, looking for a hiding spot before passing on, or looking for a new life altogether. The government looks little on this town - not wanting to scare the million-dollar patrons away. But just as long as the wanted don't stir up any trouble within the town, they leave them alone. This is one of the few places were the elite and the scum of society live together in an almost symbiotic relationship.
